Join the Winter Town Park/Sound Clean-Up in Duck!

Hey there, Duck residents! Mark your calendars because we have a very exciting event coming up! On December 7 at 10:00 a.m., we’ll be rolling up our sleeves and diving into a clean-up extravaganza at our beloved town park and the stunning soundside area. This is your chance to get out in the fresh air and lend a hand to keep our community beautiful.

Weather Permitting!

Let’s just hope for some good weather on that day! It’s a perfect opportunity to embrace the spirit of giving as we head into the holiday season. Grab your family, friends, or even your neighbors, and come out to help! Whether you’re young or young at heart, everyone is welcome to join in this wholesome activity.

Get Dirty or Stay Clean!

Now, I know what you may be thinking: “Getting down into the water and mud of the sound isn’t really my thing.” And that’s totally okay! There are plenty of other ways to pitch in. We need folks to help with cleaning up the park area, keeping it neat and tidy. Plus, if you want to stay on dry land, you can volunteer on the boardwalk and assist those who are bravely tackling the muck of the sound. You’ll have the crucial role of pointing out the trash that might be hidden under the surface, and you can help haul those full trash bags back to the dumpsters. It’s a team effort!

How to Sign Up

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, we’d love for you to sign up! It’s super simple—just follow the link to register. By joining this event, you’ll not only make our parks and sound cleaner, but you’ll also have fun and meet some new people from the Duck community.

Got Questions?

Got any questions? Don’t hesitate to reach out! Jim Gould is your go-to guy for this clean-up event, and he’s happy to help you out. Just shoot him an email at jgould@ducknc.gov, and he’ll get back to you with all the details you need!

Spread the Word!

As we approach this giving season, it’s a great reminder that small actions can lead to big changes. Let’s spread joy and team spirit by cleaning up our environment together. The more, the merrier, so feel free to share this event with your friends and family. It’s all about coming together, and we know Duck is full of community spirit!

Make a Difference!

So, whether you’re getting a bit muddy in the sound or picking up litter in the park, your contribution will make a significant difference. Plus, you might just make a few new friends along the way! Remember, we’re all in this together, and every little bit helps when it comes to keeping Duck clean and beautiful.
