Welcome to Nags Head, where the salty breeze and the tantalizing aroma of freshly caught seafood will be calling your name! Mark your calendars for a day you won’t forget on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, when the Outer Banks Seafood Festival takes over the beautiful Soundside Event Site from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. It’s the perfect opportunity to taste some local flavor while soaking in the charming culture that makes the Outer Banks so special.
Thanks to our generous Captain Sponsors, TowneBank and the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, this festival is set to be a fantastic celebration of food, fun, and community spirit. If you love seafood, you’re in for a treat! Dive into a variety of delicious seafood dishes prepared by our talented local restaurants. Don’t worry, there are plenty of options for those who prefer something on land, too!
One of the highlights this year is the Fishing Village tent. Here, you’ll have the chance to learn about our rich seafood heritage. Engage with the local fishing community, watch fascinating demonstrations, and discover how our coastal lifestyle and seafood industry thrive together. It’s a fantastic way to connect with the culture that surrounds this beloved festival.
The Vendor Village will be buzzing with excitement! With over 70 vendors, it’s your chance to shop local, find unique handcrafted items, and support non-profit organizations in the area. Don’t forget to check out the fun contests and interactive displays happening throughout the day. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a foodie, a family with little ones, or just looking to have a blast with friends.
While this year we’ve trimmed down the number of bands, you can expect longer sets that let you enjoy the music while savoring every bite! You’ll get to groove to the sounds of Pier Pressure, the Daniel Jordan Band, Celeste Kellogg, and Manteo to Murphy. Gather your friends, kick back with a cold drink, and let the music fill your heart as you soak in the atmosphere!
Ready to join in on the fun? You can grab your tickets now at www.outerbanksseafoodfestival.org/tickets. Admission is just $20 for attendees aged 13 and over, and guess what? You’ll receive $10 back in beverage and merchandise coupons! Kids aged 12 and under get in for free, making this a fantastic family outing. For those wanting a truly special experience, VIP Packages are available for just $200, including four admission packs, four festival t-shirts, VIP parking right next to the event, and expedited entrance.
Since 2021, a portion of the proceeds from the festival has been dedicated to the Endowment Fund established at the Outer Banks Community Foundation. This initiative is focused on supporting the local fishing industry, ensuring that our fishing community has a sustainable future for years to come.
So, mark your calendars and gather your friends and family for a day of fun, food, music, and community bonding at the Outer Banks Seafood Festival! We can’t wait to see you there—bringing together the joy of local seafood and the spirit of the Outer Banks!
