Outer Banks Health Gala Returns After Four-Year Break with Exciting Activities and Fundraisers

Outer Banks Health Gala “Painting the Outer Banks Blue” Returns After Four-Year Hiatus

In a highly anticipated announcement, the Outer Banks Health Development Council has shared exciting news for the community of the Outer Banks. After a four-year hiatus, the formal gala event, known as “Painting the Outer Banks Blue”, is scheduled to return on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

The gala, which will happen at the esteemed Duck Woods Country Club in Southern Shores, is a fundraising event in support of the efforts by Outer Banks Health to promote health and longevity in the community. This year’s theme takes its inspiration from the five Blue Zones, geographical regions renowned for their population’s excellent health, longevity, and rich cultural traditions.

A Cultural Showcase and Fundraiser

The Blue Zones’ unique and varied cultural traditions will be showcased at the gala through a diverse array of foods, cultures, and traditional activities. Additionally, guests can expect to be entertained with live music and dancing throughout the gala, all in an atmosphere enhanced by grand decorations.

While the available sponsorship opportunities and individual tickets may have already been sold out, various new additions have been announced that allow members of the community to show their support for this noble cause.

Late-Night Tickets And Blue Zone Raffle

The organizers have introduced a late-night ticket that grants access to the event from 9:30 p.m. to midnight. These ticket holders will be able to enjoy a variety of food, beverages, and mocktails. Live entertainment and dancing will continue throughout the evening to ensure a memorable time for all attendees. These late-night tickets are priced at $100 each.

In another exciting new addition to the event, organizers have introduced the “Experience a Blue Zone” raffle. With limited availability of only 400 tickets, valued at $100 each, one lucky winner will be treated to a five-night Costa Rican vacation for two to Playa Guiones on the Nicoya Peninsula in the country’s famed Blue Zone. This fantastic package will include accommodation and round-trip airfare for both travelers.

However, for obvious reasons such as potential conflict of interest, a raffle ticket does not grant admission to the gala on March 23. Late-night tickets and “Experience a Blue Zone” raffle tickets may be purchased through the official Outer Banks Health website or by telephone.

Join The Celebration

This event is a major opportunity for the Outer Banks community to rally in support of improved health and longevity for its members. As an event that combines cultural celebration and neighbourly support, “Painting the Outer Banks Blue” is expected to be a standout event in the 2024 calendar of the Outer Banks community. With the opportunity for late-night participation and a Blue Zone raffle, there are multiple ways for community members to join the celebration and show their support for a healthier Outer Banks.
