Senior Dog Adoption
Located in the beautiful Outer Banks, we are excited to introduce you to a very special furry friend who is in need of a loving home. Say hello to Mr. Bear, the Outer Banks SPCA Pet of the Week! This charming pup is not just any dog; he is a spirited eleven and a half years young!
Mr. Bear’s journey has been filled with love and companionship. He spent the last nine years in a warm and nurturing home. Unfortunately, due to his previous owner’s circumstances, specifically a transition into a nursing home, Mr. Bear found himself in the care of the SPCA. What a big change for a cherished family member!
Despite his senior status, Mr. Bear has a zest for life that many younger dogs would envy. The delightful staff at the SPCA have noted that if you’re looking for a senior dog who acts like a puppy, Mr. Bear is absolutely the dog for you! His charming personality is bound to win over anyone he meets.
Whether he’s chasing after a ball or enjoying a lazy afternoon nap, Mr. Bear has plenty of love to share. His playful spirit reminds us that age is just a number when it comes to enjoying life’s simple pleasures!
Mr. Bear is now searching for that perfect spot to retire—somewhere he can soak up all the attention, love, and belly rubs he can get! If you have a cozy home and a heart full of love, Mr. Bear could be the ideal addition to your family. Come meet him and see for yourself!
If you’re considering inviting Mr. Bear into your home, you’ll want to visit him at the Outer Banks SPCA. The adoption hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.. The caring staff are eager to introduce you to this lovable senior who is ready to start his next adventure.
Thinking of adopting? This is a wonderful opportunity to give Mr. Bear (and other furry friends) a second chance at happiness. If you can’t make it in person but would like to learn more, feel free to give the SPCA a call at 252-475-5620.
Adopting a senior dog like Mr. Bear comes with its own set of unique rewards. These dogs often have a calm demeanor, they are typically already house-trained, and they love to snuggle! Plus, what could be more fulfilling than knowing you’re providing a loving home for a dog who truly deserves it?
Beyond just adopting, you can also engage with the community to support the Outer Banks SPCA in various ways. Whether it’s fostering, volunteering, or simply spreading the word about wonderful pets like Mr. Bear, there are countless ways to help.
