Leadership OBX Now Accepting Applications for 2024-2025 Class

Outer Banks, NC – A golden opportunity has been presented by Leadership OBX for all business professionals residing in the Outer Banks region. They are currently accepting applications for its 2024-2025 class. Leadership OBX, widely recognized as a key professional development program of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, acknowledges the kind patronage of the Outer Banks Hospital for their continued service as the Platinum Title Sponsor.

The Purpose of Leadership OBX

Conceived in 2014 by the Outer Banks Chamber, Leadership OBX embarked on a mission to foster and develop a network of business professionals, honing their talents, and equipping them with the knowledge required to take on leadership roles within the region. Firm in its commitment to the area, the program’s primary objective revolves around illuminating economic, social, and demographic resources of the Outer Banks area, and the challenges associated with them.

Program Details

The 2024-2025 Class is scheduled to commence in late October 2024 and continue through mid-April 2025. Packed with a welcome reception, Sunday/Monday retreat, and rigorous full-day sessions every 2-3 weeks on Wednesdays, the program is a veritable powerhouse of learning and growth. “The program not only builds enduring professional connections but also cultivates lifelong friendships. It fosters an athletic sense of community among the participants,” says Chamber President & CEO, Karen Brown.

Application Submission

The full tuition for the Leadership OBX program is stipulated at $600, inclusive of the reception, retreat, and all session expenses. To render the program accessible to a broader section of community, a limited number of partial scholarships are made available through the generous sponsorship of Leadership OBX. Interested applicants must work for a Chamber member business with less than ten employees or a local non-profit to qualify for a scholarship. Applications need to be submitted by September 13, 2024, to be considered for the current year program.   • Feb. 19, 2025 – Environment Seminar

  • Apr. 2, 2025 – Hatteras Seminar
  • Apr. 9, 2025 – Graduation
