Hampton Roads & Outer Banks Jersey Mike’s Pledges Full Day Sales to Charity

Norfolk, VA – Sandwich lovers and charitable souls alike have a reason to celebrate. On Wednesday, March 27, all 21 Hampton Roads Jersey Mike’s locations along with three stores in the Outer Banks will be directing 100% of in-store, online, and app sales towards charity. The proceeds aren’t just from the profit, but the entirety of each purchase.

Beneficiary Foundations

The beneficiary of the proceeds from the Hampton Roads locations is the Navy Seal Foundation. Simultaneously, the Outer Banks locations have chosen to support the Outer Banks Foundation. Furthermore, the Moyock-based Jersey Mike’s will extend their support to the Currituck Education Foundation. Meanwhile, the Elizabeth City outlet has pledged their support to the Elizabeth City Pasquotank Public Schools.

This initiative is part of the sandwich chain’s ambitious 14th Annual nationwide Day of Giving. The month-long campaign encourages the customers to round up their bills for contributions towards local charities.

Effort to Boost Charity

Peter Cancro, CEO of Jersey Mike’s Subs, explained, “On Day of Giving, that’s where our mission to make a difference really comes to life.” He added while emphasizing the importance of such initiatives that, “We empower our customers to make a difference when we unite to help our communities. Our operators excel at giving through their authentic commitment to their customers and communities. They want to make as big an impact as they can.”

A Month of Philanthropy

The 14th Annual “Month of Giving” campaign involves more than 2,700 Jersey Mike’s locations nationwide. The goal is to rally generous customers to contribute towards local charities. On the Day of Giving, the company reciprocates this generosity by donating every single dollar of its sales to these charities.

“Charitable donations from local businesses like Jersey Mike’s elevate our ability to support military families in immeasurable ways,” said Robin King, CEO of the Navy Seal Foundation. “Their generous support contributes significantly to the overall wellness of our community.”
