Celebrate the Holidays with Music in Elizabeth City

Get ready to enjoy the spirit of Christmas in Elizabeth City as the Outer Banks Chorus sets the stage for its cheerful holiday concerts, titled “Gettin’ In The Mood For Christmas!” This year, they’re really going all out to create a magical experience for everyone who attends!

Bring the Family for Festive Fun!

Whether you’re looking to revel in the joyous sounds of the season or just want to kick-start your holiday cheer, these concerts are the perfect opportunity. The performances this year will feature beloved classics, including the jubilant “Carol of the Bells” and the festive “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.” But that’s not all — the chorus will also showcase stunning pieces by acclaimed composers such as Molly Ijames, Eric Whitacre, and Craig Courtney. Imagine the magic of being surrounded by those powerful notes!

What’s a concert without some extra flair? The Outer Banks Chorus will be joined by talented musicians Tom Ullom on percussion and Dave Kreiselman with his saxophone. It’s a perfect combination for a lively and entertaining holiday celebration!

The concerts will be held on:

  • December 14 at 5:30 p.m. — College of The Albemarle Performing Arts Center in Elizabeth City, featuring the talented Pasquotank High School Choir.
  • December 15 at 4 p.m. — David E. Oaksmith Auditorium at First Flight High School in Kill Devil Hills, showcasing the vibrant First Flight High School Choir.

Under the skillful direction of Kyle Cook, accompanied by Barry Ambrose, and supported by the local community, the Outer Banks Chorus is primed to deliver an unforgettable experience. And guess what? Admission to both performances is by donation, making it accessible for everyone to join in on the fun!

Bonus Performance — One More Reason to Celebrate

If you can’t make it to the earlier concerts, there’s still joy to be had! A bonus performance will take place on December 21 at The Elizabethan Gardens. It’s the perfect way to gather your friends and family for another night of festive tunes and community spirit.
