Keeper James and his partner Miz Linda will be returning to the show for another year. “Last year was just glorious! Not only did we sell plenty of books, but we also met so many incredible people,” shares Keeper James. “It’s those personal connections that make the event so special.”

Over its 44-year run, this service bravely saved over 177,000 lives from peril at sea, operating only with small boats and sheer courage. As Keeper James puts it, “It’s a tribute to those heroes who risked their lives to save others.”

He has a sequel on the way, titled “Shipwreck Rescues of the Outer Banks: Sensational Wrecks and Heroic Rescues by the United States Life-Saving Service.” Scheduled for release in April, this sequel promises to shed even more light on heroic tales from the coast, further connecting the community with its rich maritime history.
