Children Invited to Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday with Museum of the Albemarle

Albemarle, NC – A Unique Birthday Celebration

The renowned Museum of the Albemarle invites children and families to kick-start a colorful celebration, paying tribute to the great Dr. Seuss. The museum announced its event – a Paint ‘n Party slated for Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10 a.m. until noon.

A Creative Twist on Dr. Seuss Day

The day’s program pledges to harmoniously blend fun, education, and creativity. Participants can celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with an engaging reading of ‘One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish‘. Adding to the vibrancy of the day, children of all age groups will be coached in the art of canvas painting under the expert guidance of Mara Swindell from Create and Celebrate.

Following the festivity and hard work, an exuberant after-party is planned, complete with snacks and refreshing drinks. The Museum encourages wholesome family involvement by asking parents to assist their young ones in the painting session.

Pre-registration for Seating and Entry

Given the enormous popularity of Dr. Seuss and the unique nature of this event, seating is limited. Prospective participants are asked to preregister and pay a small supply fee to secure their seats. Unfortunately, there will be no refunds once the fee is paid.
