Star Nights Returns to COA
Elizabeth City’s College of The Albemarle (COA) is ready to host its third ‘Star Nights’ event of the 2023-2024 academic year on Friday, March 15, 2024. The event is set to run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at COA’s main campus located at 1208 N. Road Street. It will be conducted on the lawn at the back of the campus, creating an effortless outdoor atmosphere for guests.
The Thrill of Astronomy for All Ages
A perfect amalgam of fun and learning, the COA Star Nights engages attendees of all ages with exciting astronomy-themed activities. Visitors will get an opportunity to see the moon’s craters through various telescopes and participate in a guided tour of the constellations. Star Nights is a public event and invites everyone to come and share in the wonders of the night sky.
If individuals are unable to participate on March 15th, COA will host another Star Night event on April 12th at COA—Edenton – Chowan. All these events are scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. Please note that there is no scheduled rain date for these events. If there are any changes in the schedule for the March 15th event due to weather conditions, notifications will be shared promptly via COA’s social media platforms.
